Small Business Support

Picture
A Small Grant to a working member of the low-income community can be a life-saving and most times, and "honor" saving event - and in tribal areas, sometimes "honor" is more important than life.

Since Dram foundation comprises of local youth and elders, they understand this approach to life all too well.  Keeping this mind-set as a ground-reality DFT team ensures that any truly needy member of the community is not left to wallow in social stigma, nor abject poverty while trying to maintain "honor".

At the same time, the realization that "Moach Goth" is a poor population, and all of the members themselves are from low-income families, is not lost on the board-of-trustees. Also, the foundation does not want encourage a "rescuer-victim" mindset in the local community. Therefore through investigations, and a strict set of processes is followed to ensure that whenever the foundation donates, it is in the form of in-kinds donation for the ultra poor, and those most in need.

Some of the examples of donations are , French fry machines, Sandwich makers, grooming and beautician for women (in-house business) and rent for local shops on a trail basis of first two months.
